Abstract :
We propose an integration approach for on-chip optical interconnect compatible with waferscale processing technologies and future advanced electronic circuits. The use of ultra-compact SOI-based wiring circuitry is demonstrated. First heterogeneously integrated optoelectronic devices coupled to these waveguides are shown.
