Abstract
Content discovery has historically been a painful process of repeatedly scanning a large gallery of images or, worse, a textual list of shortened titles. The user experience became a race to see whether the user´s thumb or brain got numb first. MEMS and enhanced metadata, combined with better connectivity allow for a navigation experience that is actually enjoyable in its own right. This paper reviews some of the key steps necessary to achieve that.
