  • Abstract
The real thermal condition knowing inside the machine is very important for the exploitation and control of induction motor (IM). This paper provides the reasons for parameter changes which cause problems of IM control. Here are presented various methods of IM parameters estimation as a way for better control of IM. Various methods of IM parameters change are presented as a way for better control of IM. A method for estimation of rotor resistance through reactive power developed in IM is proposed. Comparing the results from measuring and simulations, it is confirmed that the proposed method is acceptable for heavy-duty of IM.
