Abstract
This paper introduces the advanced technical idea of workflow technology to manage the procurement process with flexibility, which can satisfy the requirements of necessary changes rapidly for the modern enterprises. On the basis of reference model of workflow, the data structure of workflow relevant data which used to manage and control the process in workflow engine are discussed firstly. Then, the corresponding workflow relevant data of procurement process existing in enterprise is presented in detail as an example. Cooperated with the necessary applications corresponding to the activities of procurement process respectively, the procurement management information system is constructed, which can finish the corresponding management under the control of the workflow engine. The experiment is carried out to validate the effectiveness of the new information system and check the ability of adapt the business process change, which provides an optional information way to other similar business process for the enterprises.
