Abstract :
The purpose of this paper is to show the effectiveness of the graphic-analytical methods used in electrical motor control, especially in vector control systems. The graphic-analytical methods used along with the other methods, like Strejc´s method, logarithmic method, integration method, present very good results if the PI controllers are replaced with transfer-function-based ones. It is important to mention that good results are achieved with these methods applied in vector control system and that by imposing a set of performance (which is done through various methods specific to automation) excellent results are obtained for any system either complex or simple. In the case of using on-line genetic algorithms, by changing the evaluation function, results are generated in real time, the only condition is to ensure sufficient computing capacity in order to execute the genetic algorithm (in fact the execution of genetic algorithm and the response from the evaluation function must be in the interval that allows the system to react in real time).
