Abstract
In multi-view video coding, motion skip mode is a method that could improve coding efficiency by exploiting disparities between views. The conventional methods of motion skip mode have some drawbacks. So, we propose a regional disparity map based motion skip mode using the dynamic property of anchor pictures. We are taking into accounts of regions with movements and less movements, and exploit region disparities differently. Experimental results show that bit-rates are decreased by average 2.67% and maximum 4.3% without much loss in the quality comparing with other motion skip methods.
