Abstract
In Intelec´99 a proposal for a new powering architecture for Telecom systems was presented by France Telecom and Alcatel. The need of a new powering scheme, common for Telecom and Datacom equipment was explained. This article describes more deeply some other aspects of the referred architecture: batteries, power factor correction, compatibility, three phase systems and standardization
