  • Abstract
The most important climate control solution for telecom shelters has become the traditional, active cooling window unit amongst other active cooling solutions. However there are other ways of cooling shelters than by active cooling. After a discussion and evaluation of advantages and disadvantages with different cooling solutions, a suggestion is made for an existing shelter site with active cooling. The additional cooling unit is based on the heat exchanger principle and provides the existing site with a significant energy saving, less environmental impact, significantly improved availability at a limited investment cost
