Abstract
A new sectional lumped parameter model of Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) in fluid-filled pipes was presented based on the equivalent mechanical vibration model, which considers the Poisson coupling between the fluid and pipe structure; The model is fully decoupling by re-division of the fluid-filled pipe section and the rational allocation of compute nodes. The simulation results are in good agreement with the results from experiment and the method of characteristic (MOC). The sectional lumped parameter model of FSI in fluid-filled pipes established in this paper has a clear and intuitive physical meaning and excellently reveals the coupling nature between fluid and pipeline. It proposed a more convenient analysis method for engineering application to study FSI.
