Abstract :
This paper presents a method for placing minimum number of phasor measurement units (PMUs) in a power system in order to locate any fault in the system. A procedure using integer linear programming framework is proposed. Modeling of zero injection bus is also considered. Simulation results for the IEEE 14 bus and 30 bus systems are reported.
