Abstract :
Band gaps of 2D piezoelectric phononic crystal and the influence of material constants are studied. Dispersive equations of 2D phononic crystal with piezoelectric ceramic cylinders embedded periodically in polymer host are derived based on plane wave expansion method firstly. Then, dispersive equations are numerically solved and the wave band gap distribution is obtained in the first Brillouin zone. The influence on wave band gap of elastic constants, piezoelectric constants and dielectric constants are compared and some interesting conclusions are finally given.
