Abstract :
BaTiO3 based ceramics were applied widely to make electronics units. But conventional processing of BaTiO3 ceramic particles relies on the solid-state reactions, by which the coarse, impure, inhomogeneous and multiphase powders were produced. In this paper, new method was used to synthesize BaTiO3 based ceramic nanopowder with the particle size 20- 90 nm by use of Ba(NO3)2 - Ti(OC4H9)4-ammonia-citric acid raw material system. BET equipment was used to measure the specific surface area of BaTiO3 based ceramic. The pacific surface area is 15 m2/g. Sedimentometry was applied to measure particle size and distribution. The test results show that the fine BaTiO3 based ceramic particles were well distributed and the dielectric constant of the material is more than 5000.
