Abstract :
We have developed a technique based on pattern matching technology which can be used to create hyperlinks between analog content played back on analog sequential media and interactive data on a computer, and developed a new “WebSync” system with this technique. The WebSync system allows users to obtain a synchronized view of analog content and computer data. The process of producing a hyperlink for analog content has novel features which enable hyperlinks to be established accurately, rapidly and flexibly. This paper describes these features and experiments conducted on the WebSync system
