Abstract
In order to describe the PVC gloves production scheduling problem in the multi-varieties and small-batch production pattern which belongs to hybrid flow shop scheduling problem, this paper introduced a scheduling model with the target of minimizing the sum of earliness and tardiness costs. And genetic algorithm was used to get the optimal solution of the problem by solving the model above. Considering the particularity of PVC gloves production, the matrix encoding but not the traditional chromosome was adopted to represent production scheduling sequence in the algorithm. Finally, a case was applied to validate the effectiveness of the model and algorithm in a PVC gloves manufacturing enterprise.
