Abstract :
A dual-polarized ceiling-mounted antenna, based on previous ceiling-mounted antennas is proposed in this letter. It consists of one vertical polarization unit and one horizontal polarization unit. The vertical polarization unit is a transformation of a monopole, looking like a tundish. And the horizontal polarization unit comprises of four dipoles on a substrate ring. The two units compose a nesting structure. The impedance bandwidth of this dual-polarization ceiling-mounted antenna ranges from 2.3 to 2.7 GHz, covering TD-SCDMA band (2.3 GHz to 2.4 GHz). And due to the symmetrical structures, the antenna radiates omnidirectional patterns in azimuth.
