Abstract
This paper demonstrates the application of a statistical procedure to analyse data associated with time-to-failure of power overhead line components. Three studies are discussed: full length preservative treated wood poles; disc insulators; and highway lighting. The common aim in each case was the design of maintenance and replacement programs
