Abstract
This paper reports a novel pixel circuit and structure combining the OLED and reflective LCD with active matrix to form a novel transflective display to improve the display power consumption and reduce module size (no backlight). Reflective LCD part enables the high visibility at outdoor while the OLED can be turned-off for power consumption and device degradation. Once in low ambience, the OLED part can substitute the LCD to provide the brightly colored, high contrast images.
