Abstract :
A new method for shape reconstruction in cardiac MRI is presented in this work. Using a combined shape representation and local basis functions this method models the shape of the left ventricle. To solve this problem of shape reconstruction a nonlinear approach is required. Fitting the model to the data is done by an iterative nonlinear method, which reconstructs both the intensity and the contour. Results are shown for an undersampled set of ten k-space profiles.
