  • Abstract
    In this paper, basic principles of fractals and their application for lightning modeling are discussed. Attention is drawn on how fractals have been used for geometric modeling of lightning to take care of tortuosity and branching. Random midpoint displacement algorithm and fractal recursion are used to model the lightning. It has certain value to the lightning research.
