Abstract
With deeper research of wind key technologies, concern on operation of a micro-grid with wind power has been aroused greatly. Fully use of supply resources and demand resources of a micro-grid is determined by optimal planning of integrated resources. Considering that implementation of demand-side management is available to change the load profiles and decrease the variation extent of load during one day, a typical micro-grid interconnected with the main grid, including wind power, hydro power, storage devices and local load, is taken as our study case. Its mathematical model was firstly constructed, PSO algorithm was used to solve the problem. Numerical simulations which demonstrate operation performances would vary when different load regulation schemes were applied, which show that demand management is good for improving operation performance of the discussed hybrid system.
