Abstract :
This paper proposes APIEM as an encoding mechanism for privacy information in Android system. By encoding privacy information in cursor queried from database and decoding them before drawing to the screen, the text-based privacy information can be protected from leaking by third-party applications. APIEM provides more protection and has less overhead compared to traditional taint and trace methods.
