Abstract :
Tag cloud also known as word cloud, is a visual representation of the important words based on some weighted list. The word usually depicts keywords in a text document. The keywords may represent meta-data information useful for creating navigation links for educational websites. Today´s E-learning websites are heavily driven by multimedia contents, which are quite often unstructured, unedited, unsynchronized, and lack hyperlinking between multimedia components. Hyperlinking different media modalities, is a necessity for quick navigation and easy retrieval of pedagogical content in E-learning websites. Finding meta-data information to represent hyperlinks from intensive multimedia driven E-learning websites is challenging, laborious, prone to errors, and time-consuming task. In this paper, we propose 3-Dimensional tag clouds for multimedia driven websites by automatically extracting candidate keywords from PowerPoint presentations, and building a tag cloud, to create hyperlinks between PowerPoint presentations and lecture videos.
