Abstract :
The paper discusses the practical difficulties which can be experienced when installing a cell enhancer or on-frequency repeater. Without sufficient isolation between its two antennas, a repeater may become unstable and transmit high power spurious signals. Practical measurements of the `leakage´ channel between two antennas in a typical outdoor environment are presented. With such information available, methods of mitigating the self-interference effects may be considered
