The influence of reasoning capacity and time pressure on the information search pattern of career decision making

This article used information board and the experimental material was stimulant career decision tasks aiming at the exploration of decision makers´ information search pattern at different level of time pressure (high time pressure, low time pressure and no time pressure) and different level of reasoning capacity (high level of reasoning capacity and low level). The results showed that (1) the main effect of time pressure was significant whereas that of reasoning capacity wasn ´t significant. And the interact effect of the two was not significant. (2) If time pressure existed, the subjects were inclined to attribute-based information search pattern. However, if there was no time pressure, the alternative-based information search pattern was usually used.
