Abstract :
This paper presents new analytical results on the behaviour of the filtered-X LMS algorithm. The new results are based on a previously derived analytical model which is not based on the independence theory. The new results provide insight on transient and steady-state behaviour, stability and effects of secondary path estimation errors. The accuracy of the new model is compared to the model derived using the independence theory.
