Abstract :
Integrated transmission control units for automatic transmissions have evolved from pure stand-alone over attached-to, to mechatronic control units. Nowadays they are used in many different customer applications. There are clear advantages in the overall system costs compared to stand-alone or attached-to transmission control units. In addition technical constraints and quality advantages have increased this trend. In recent years challenges in component and systems reliability have become important criteria for the use of advanced mechatronic control units as well.
