Abstract
Through analysis of the actual data of Beijing third-ring-road (BTRR), we find out the phenomena of non-homogenous state transitions occur frequently. Based on the concepts such as homogenous measure index (HMI) and spatio-temporal difference index (SDI), the reasons why the non-homogenous state transition to be occurred are explained by the spatio-temporal relationships among related road sections.
