Study on social and psychological factors of network-dependence among university students. By comparative study on the network-dependent group and the control group, to analyze certain effective factors, such as personality, parenting style, coping style, mental health of the network-dependence behavior among university students. The results showed that: the network-dependent group marked more mental health problems than the control group. Compared with the normal group, the former group´s parents often refused and deny their children and punish them severely; their personality characteristics are inclined to solitude, introverted and their emotion are difficult to control; and on the coping style, the network-dependent group is inclined to take an immature, passive method of response. The occurrence of network-dependent behavior is mainly influenced by network-users´ unhealthy state of mind, the negative response, ill parenting style and personality characteristics.
