  • Abstract
    Integrated fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) and fault-tolerant control (FTC) methods for the satellite attitude control system with faults are investigated in this paper. The effectiveness factor is first introduced. Then a two-stage Kalman filtering algorithm is used to estimate the effectiveness factor. Two reconfiguration fault-tolerant controllers are designed and compared to compensate the primal controller based on online statistical hypothesis tests. Simulations results show that the algorithm is effective and easily to carry out. Besides the controllers can satisfy the performance requirements of an on-orbit satellite attitude control system when faults happen.
