Abstract :
A novel second-order low-pass operational transconductance amplifier (OTA)-based filter is described. In addition to its simplicity, the circuit exhibits the following attractive features: use of grounded and equal valued capacitors throughout, low sensitivity to passive component tolerances, and good high-frequency operation as shown by a 2.5-MHz Butterworth filter design. The simplicity of the CMOS implementation of such a filter is evident when compared with that of other low-pass filters reported
