Abstract :
A two-layer adaptive wrapping technique is proposed in this paper to migrate legacy energy management system (EMS) modules into reusable components, and therefore transforming the legacy system into a component-based system. Meanwhile, an XML-based database wrapping technique is proposed to provide a flexible data exchange solution. These techniques help not only maintaining the reliability but also increasing the reusability of the legacy EMS during the software evolution process
