Abstract
Recently, to cut down manufacturing cost for LCD panel, mass panel makers enlarge the size of mother glass. Even though current glass size is up to 2250times1950 (mm), it is expected to be bigger. However larger LCD panels make some problems. One of them is increasing errors between the glass coordinates and the inspecting machine coordinates. Thus in this study we apply new coordinate matching algorithm for large glass to compensate these error. By applying new developed meshed matching algorithm, mean error and standard deviation decreases approximately 90% relative to previous method. Besides, even when two points compensation for offset and rotation is done, the performance of new algorithm is still carried on. It verifies that this new matching algorithm is applicable to mass production.
