Beginning of the national training project for CFE´s distribution operators

In this paper the beginning of the national training project for distribution operators (OD´s, for its acronym in Spanish), that daily are involved in the management and administration of the medium and low voltage electrical system, is documented. To carry out this project, the Alternate National Center (CENALTE, for its acronym in Spanish) of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE, for its acronym in Spanish), has designed and implemented a generic network model using the Dispatcher Training Simulator (DTS). This tool is available in the facilities of the National Energy Control Center (CENACE, for its acronym in Spanish) including CENALTE and its use allows to evaluate the monitoring capacity, actions, security, management and analysis of the operative group on a system very similar to the Real-Time environment; thereby the OD can get a recognition of their national competition.
