Abstract :
With the rapid development of low-voltage meter reading technology, meter reading has become an effective means of improving the level of business management automation which be used by power enterprises; low-voltage meter reading system is bound to gradually replace the manual meter reading. This paper discusses the OFDM communication technology in the power line carrier communication, proposed the design scheme of automatic meter reading system based on the power line broadband carrier. The collector of the meter reading system is based on 32-bit ARM microcontroller, external expansion with RS485 interface, 100M Ethernet port RS232 serial interfaces, and has excellent capabilities of data management, storage and data communication. The design of the system software is based on Linux operating system. The collector has the merits, such as fast transfer rate, high reliability and real time, low operation cost. And the collector can achieve transparent transmission of Multi-function meters´ data in power system.
