Abstract
Clustering algorithm utilizes multi-hop communication which generates “hot zone” issues in wireless sensor networks. This paper presents a new energy-balanced adaptive hierarchy routing protocol which is called EAHRP. It establishes different intervals of hierarchical structure according to the distance between nodes and the sink. It adopts the methods of cluster-head selection based on region and multi-hop data transmission inter-cluster and the adaptive hierarchy adjusting algorithm balancing the energy-load in WSN. According to NS2 simulation results show the protocol makes energy-balanced more better and improves the living time of network and weakens the “hot zone” issues.
