Abstract
For most fuzzy controllers, it is well known that the number of fuzzy rules and adjustable parameters exponentially increases with the number of input variables. We investigate a class of zero-order TS fuzzy controllers that is able to circumvent this curse of dimensionality problem. The properties of the local stability and bounded-input bounded-output stability are proved. Based on the stability analysis, a design method is proposed for this class of fuzzy controllers. Our simulation results demonstrate its effectiveness.
