Abstract
A sophisticated control system is necessary for safely and stable operation of a chemical plant. In this study, the microreactor was applied to analysis of kinetics of a chemical reaction. Hydrolysis of ethyl acetate was adopted as a testreaction. The microreactor developed was a tube type reactor with the conductivity sensors along to the reactor. Two kinds of the reactant solutions were fed into the micro mixing device at constant flow rate by each syringe pump. The measured conductivity by the microreactor was recorded into a data logger. The reaction rate constant agreed with the literature.
