Abstract
This paper deals with the use and application of computer aided drafting and design (CADD) within the curriculums of electronics technology and electrical engineering. It explains how a survey course is often used to introduce the students to a wide range of information and functions, without the intention or expectation of the students becoming electrical and/or electronic professional drafters. The paper discusses how such a course is developed, topics to be included, the selection of an appropriate text and the selection of a software package(s)
