Abstract
A strategy is presented for real-time detection of control law calculation errors caused by electromagnetic environments in critical flight control computers during laboratory validation testing. The detector estimates the nominal control command of the Flight Control Computer (FCC) in order to determine the correctness of the calculated command. This paper presents the theory linking state-space observers to those of embedded ARX observers. Additionally, a method for fast system identification is reviewed
