Abstract
Composite sensor mixed with long afterglow SrAl2O4:Eu,Ln phosphors and ruby have been developed for the fluorescence thermometer applications. Temperature can be measured based on the temperature dependence of photoluminescence (PL) intensity from mixed composite sensor. The temperature dependence of PL intensity and intensity ratio of PL from long afterglow phosphor and ruby is evaluated from PL spectra at various temperatures. Intensity ratio of PL peaks from different phosphors in the composite sensor is useful for temperature measurement.
