  • Abstract
    When considering military airlift, strategic and tactical aircraft global missions and operations, there are emerging military requirements for intra-formation operations and digital battlefield operations. These emerging military requirements can be integrated with the evolution of commercial communications, navigation, surveillance air traffic management data link applications. This paper presents the results of a study that analyzed these emerging requirements, identifies resulting military data link enhancements, and recommends a roadmap for further developments
