Abstract
In the paper, two different hardware architectures, oriented to the same control strategy of an three-phase induction motor, are reported and compared. In particular, a DSP-based measurement and control apparatus is introduced and compared with an i960KB microcontroller-based system especially designed for embedded applications. The control algorithm adopted for the benchmark is a standard field oriented algorithm, the most widespread vectorial strategy
