Abstract :
An enormous amount of work in power electronics simulation has been done over the past two decades. Many papers have been published from academia and industry and some commercial tools are now available. Generally, there is easy access to inexpensive and powerful computing capabilities. Here, the authors examine what all this means to the use of simulation in the power electronics industry. They describe how, in the power supply industry, use of simulation is growing, but is by no means widely used-especially in a routine manner as part of the design process
