Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a differential positioning scheme to incorporate a radio-determination capability into mobile communication system with multiple low-Earth orbiting satellites. The proposed positioning scheme is operable where only a single satellite is visible from each user. This paper evaluates characteristics of the proposed scheme in terms of positioning errors, areas available for positioning and time period required for positioning, and confirms its feasibility
