Abstract :
Summary form only given. The infrared emission spectra of methane, H, CH and C2 hydrocarbons in natural gas were measured. The process of methane decomposition and C2 hydrocarbons formation was researched. The experiment shows: the time and conditions of methane decomposition and C2 hydrocarbons formation were different; methane conversion was increased with increase of current and decrease of methane quantity. Furthermore, reaction mechanisms were presented that free radicals played important role in chain reaction
