Abstract :
The normally closed and normally open types are presented as a block control system configuration method and the properties of the two types are clarified logically. It is shown that signal processing of these two types are utilized as a configuration method of the airplane surface movement guidance and control system which the authors developed. Green signal lights have two roles for airplanes in this system, one is a center line to indicate the taxing line and the other is permission to go forward. Because the green lights behind the airplane finish the role of centerline and should be turned off immediately, each block section is subdivided into a shorter block section
