Abstract :
This paper presents a new effective equalization method in a power line communication (PLC) system. It can reduce the effect of noise, a major channel impairment. This method works to neutralize intersymbol interference (ISI) in the conventional equalization technique of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). This method delivers an equalization signal which contains less noise distortion than an equalization signal obtained by conventional method. System performance comparison shows how the proposed method improves the BER performance over the conventional method
