Abstract :
The design of a bowtie slot antenna motivated by a hybrid with a quantum dot mode locked laser (QD-MLL) is presented. For the better performance, a matching network is designed to enhance the delivered power generated by the quantum-dot mode locked laser chip. The transferred power is shown to be improved by around 5 dB. The entire design and detailed results are presented to prove the validity of the new proposed RF/photonic antenna.
