  • Abstract
EURO-SCOUT, developed by Siemens, is a fully self-sufficient real-time dynamic guidance system for road travellers. It also represents a highly efficient traffic management tool for public authorities. EURO-SCOUT consists of three system components: 1) in-vehicle units without database; 2) infrared beacons which are linked via available communication channels; and 3) central guidance computers with road map and traffic databases.
