Abstract :
The structural characteristic of components with cyclosymmetric structure and the effect of the number of symmetry units on reliability are analyzed. The probability density function and cumulative distribution function of strength of components with cyclosymmetric structure are developed. When time is as life parameter, the time-dependent reliability model and failure rate model of components with cyclosymmetric structure, which can embody the parameters of load, strength, the number of symmetry units and life, are derived. The results show that when strength doesn´t degenerate, the reliability of components with cyclosymmetric structure decreases as time, and the failure rate also decreases. For the components consisted of the identical symmetry units, the reliability decreases as the number of symmetry units increases, and the failure rate increases as the number of symmetry units increases. The models proposed in this paper can be applied to guide the design and analysis of reliability of components with cyclosymmetric structure more rationally.
